If you want a pro quality blender, get this one. We love it. Plenty of power and capacity.Great Blender!! The only thing negative about this description is that it advertises "Low Profile" which I read made it a little lower to fit under cabinets. But this was exactly the same size I bought probably 10 years ago for myself. (This was a gift.) So it won't fit completely assembled under normal cabinets. Also, there was no description that said it came with tamper, so I bought one separately. It does come with a tamper, so I had to return the one I bought.I like the fact that you can blend with most seeds that are in fruit except for the big seeds such as peach seeds etc. The speed is awesome. Am still learning what I can blend and cannot blend in my Vitamix.I've been trying to get used to this blender but every day I end up cursing it.I make smoothies every morning. Frozen fruit, frozen kale, supplement powders, and oat milk.My Ninja smart blender blasted right through everything. The small attachment fit a single smoothie, the large fit two or three.This blender locks up when it hits a piece of fruit. It creates air bubbles around the blades so the blade spins without mixing. It shuts down to prevent overheating at least once a week while I'm trying to complete this chore. And using this blender, my smoothing routine has become a chore. I have to stir as it blends to keep it working. I bought this because of the Consumer Report reviews but I think they missed the mark on this one.I have diverticulitis and love strawberries and fruit drinks, so love that it pulverized the seeds!My spouse underwent total dental implants with restrictions on chewing for 110 days while the bones healed around the implants. This meant applesauce, pudding and scrambled eggs. That lasted about 3 days and then he was looking for flavor and variety. Our little HB blender was definitely not up to the task.What we love most about the Vitamix is the ability to make soup - really! Hot soup in a few minutes, no pan to wash. We purchased the smoothie accessory and two tampers. Very happy with this powerful appliance.No more spending $9-$10 for a smoothie at your local smoothie shop. Shop quality blending at home….no more chewy green smoothies. Blended up watermelon chunks and made a delicious frothy watermelon juice. Great for making smooth veggie soups. Save $5 a week by making your own hummus. Basically this will pay for itself in 2 yrs just by the money I save on hummus each week.You're not going to regret it. You're not going to find a better blender. Another review that helped me justify the purchase said "a dollar a day for a year and a half"; if you are a chef or someone who regularly enjoys crafted beverages it is more than worth it. I have used this product to replace my bulky juicer and coffee grinder, I have used it to mix batters to save time, I have used it to aerate eggs for quiches, I have made frappes and margaritas with it, and the list goes on. Such a handy device, well worth the cost for the convenience and joy it brings as well as time and energy it saves. You deserve this.No complaints about the product.However, tried to register the product with Vitamix directly only to find out the code on the blender was not registered with them. They had to add it manually and asked for proof of purchase and pictures of the product, which we sent 3 months ago.Called again two weeks later, they had no recollection of the original complaint or the emails we sent, so we sent everything again.Fast forward to today, they still have not registered the product and hadn't bothered to inform us.Given the amount of money this costs, I'd expect better.I would not buy from them again. Customer service is absolutely horrible.I was very excited to get my new vitamix. I had an old one that sparked and died. It was 30 years old. I loved the bright red colour. It was quieter than my last machine.I did a couple of simple smoothies just to try it out. It worked well . I could easily see the stuff inside. My last carafe was glass and I still would prefer glass but the visibility is great with the new material. It was also easy to clean. Then I tried a slightly tougher one with soaked beans. I followed all the guidelines. ( I take very good care of my appliances and they usually last a long time) . All was going well and all of a sudden there’s a few crackle like sounds and a horrible acrid stink. I was heart broken. I thought I had picked the best and strongest machine. I wasn’t blending anything that should be too much for this quality of machine. I went back and looked at the reviews of the machines and it still looked good. I hope it was just a lemon. Just in case, I’m going to try the ascent series though I’m not one for bells and whistles.I bought this one after reviewing lots of articles and reviews online. But it's too expensive and not worth for your investment.It can't handle more than 150g coffee nuts for grinding. The motor starts to heat up and smell bad, and very noisy after the speed level 5.Very good for soup or making fruit juice. Easy to clean.It would be nice if the jug & lid were dishwasher safe, but I still wouldn't trade this blender for any other on the market.We have smoothies for breakfast most mornings & this blender is huge leap up from the cheaper ones we've used in the past.I love the no fuss controls. No stupid programs we'll never use, no app to run it with your phone. Just on & off & a smooth dial that takes it from idle to ludicrous speed. And it does all that without the need of hearing protection.I blew it one morning & put a cup of unpitted cherries into the blender. I thought it was a bit noisier than usual, but didn't pay it much mind. The smoothie ended up a bit grainy, but was still very drinkable.You can add a whole carrot to the mix & there are no little chunks in your drink. It only takes about 40 seconds to reduce most fruit & veg to a smooth consistency.Once I got over the sticker shock, I was very pleased with this blender. We've only had the blender for around six months, so I can't vouch for how long it'll last.Une fois que j'ai mis mes ingrédients tel que recommandé, j'ai mis en marche la machine et ça mixait à un rythme lent lent lent... Pourtant, j'ai bien lu le manuel d'utilisation. J'ai débranché et recommencé, même chose. Mon fils me regarde et je le regarde en pensant que l'affaire n'était peut-être pas aussi bonne qu.on me l'avait vantée. Puis j'appuie sur un interrupteur en avant du moteur et HOP LÀ !!!!! La puissance du moteur vroooouuuuuuu... J'ai éclaté de rire et mon fils s'est bien moqué de moi. La machine des machines!!!! En une minute, j'ai eu un smoothie d'une texture que je n'avais jamais eue avec les autres mixeurs..... Merci Seigneur et merci Vitamix
