My youngest daughter had purchased a cheap blender somewhere because she was on a health kick and was going to make smoothies. Yeah, that lasted about a week (her health kick, not the cheap blender), so since I had the blender and the ingredients I decided to give them a try. Instant fan of the smoothie. But that cheap little blender was freakin’ loud and didn’t do anything close to a decent job.So, I was looking for a smoothie blender. It needed to be powerful, quick, have detachable containers with travel lids, and the containers needed to be larger than what I had. And it needed to be cheap.This came with 2 large clear cups, 2 travel lids, a separate blender mechanism, and the blender. All of it screwed together to make things quick and easy. It also makes cleanup quick and easy. I’ve found that to be equally as important. It all fits in the dishwasher (bottom rack, cause the cups are tall) and cleans up beautifully.It’s a powerful little blender for something so small. It’s a blender, so there is some noise associated with that, but it is nowhere near as noisy as the one that went to live in my pantry once this one arrived. The locking mechanism is very secure and all of the lids and the blender mechanism screw down tightly so they are secure/no drips. It does tell you in the instruction manual NOT to blend for more than a minute. Take that part LITERALLY and SERIOUSLY.It has a pretty powerful motor, and when I hold the blend button down for too long, I can smell it heating up. Now, had I read the reviews on this product I would have realized this was an issue and probably wouldn’t have even ordered it. I’m really kind of glad I neglected to do that this time. I have no idea what other people are blending, but I’m doing fresh and frozen fruit (bananas, peaches, berries, pineapple, melon, etc), greek yogurt, powders and liquid. In the really big container. In about 30 seconds. And I drink it through a straw. After 3 weeks of multiple uses every day, I have never had a “chunk” clog up my straw. For a little over 20 bucks, I’m ecstatic I didn’t read the reviews.Now, I’m not saying that I’m a fan of the fact that I can smell the motor getting hot….cause I’m not. If this thing bursts into flames one day and takes out my kitchen as a result I’m going to be far less delighted with my purchase. But for right now, I’m good with it. I keep it next to the kitchen sink, just in case…...Easy to clean, works great for smoothies. Especially on the go!I actually liked the blender he did a good job we made smoothies for breakfast used it a couple of times a week. Here on 15 September it’s dead one month and one week later after purchaseEdit ** I am just getting around to updating. After 2 months of daily use, those blender’s gasket was shot. You could replace the gasket…but I opted to replace the blender.This product is wonderful! I bought for my sons, so I purchased the two sports bottle edition in mint green. We use frozen fruits, fresh juice, and yogurt. My hand immersion blender was difficult and took forever. This blender was fast, everything was blended perfectly to a great consistency, and the cups are a larger size; perfect for us! Cleanup is a total breeze! I definitely recommend this product. The booklet it comes with us not only a user manual, but also has recipes! We had more expensive blenders in the past, but this is infinitely better as it’s simple, fast, and durable quality that didn’t skimp on aesthetic appeal. Excellent purchase!This was among the least expensive options for a smoothy blender ($21.59) and it came with two containers. I use it every day, and provided I don't add too much ice, it takes care of fresh and frozen fruit very well. I add powdered supplements to my smoothies, and it blends them to the point where they're not noticeable. Can't tell how long it will last, but it's a pleasure not to have to use (and clean) our huge VitaMix for an 18 oz. smoothy. And the convenience of simply unscrewing the base and screwing on a drinking lid is great. For twenty bucks, it more than met my expectations.I wanted a personal/ small blender to make smoothies in the morning for my fiance and I that was quick and convenient. This is it! Mornings are always busy but this personal blender definitely makes it easier. I really like it that it came with two cups, and two lids plus the lid that has the blades. It's super easy to use and very quick also. When the smoothie is done, you simply have to place the top with the black drinkable one and you're all set to go! I really recommend this to anyone who is just as busy or wants something quick, easy, and affordable. You will not be disappointed!Very satisfied. I only wish the cups were more short and wide rather than thin and long. It's hard to wash that far down. I'm not sure if they are dishwasher safe but it doesn't matter because they are too tall for the top shelf. Something else to look out for is the blade cap. You have to turn the base to lock it down in order to turn it on. Sometimes the bottle needs a shake to repossition the ingredients and each time you lock it in place it tightens the cap.
