I almost canceled my order when I read some of the reviews but I didn't. I am glad I didn't because it works just fine. I use mine to make smoothies and frozen drinks. I have had no problem with ice or frozen fruit. It works right through ice cube sized frozen ice and fruit. I use it every day and it works just fine. Never gave up to any loadings. But, the new one I got looks very cheap!!! I am afraid, the speed buttons will fly off one day and the motor makes weird sound and its not even a week! Also, I have a prime membership and hoped the product arrival in a 2-3 days, but took almost a week. When contacted Amazon, they asked to check with the shipment agency and when I called the shipping agency, they said, its not in our hands and they hadn't the parcel in the first place at all!!! Amazon sucked on this one.....I just got this blender yesterday. I used it today. The reviews that I read on Amazon were really negative. This blender is powerful (650 watts peak power)and has a large 48 oz glass container. It costs 32.00, delivered. This is 10-15 dollars less than anything comparable. The plastic cuppy thing that goes into the lid doesn't lock in, which is a minor annoyance but I almost didn't buy it because of the reviews. I guess some people complain about everything. I looked this up on Walmart.com and they sell it for the same price but it would have taken 10 days to get it. The Walmart reviews were just the opposite of the Amazon reviews. How much better could a 30.00 blender be?OK so I used it for 1 week and it quit running. Black and Decker had the audacity to ask me to pay 7.50 for the return. Luckily they reversed that decision.A reliable name for a reliable product. I had burned out my previous Black and Decker blender and this one was the closest to that old and trusted model. A bit more of a space hog than my previous blender yet still fits the space on my counter.GREAT LOOKING BLENDER THAT LOOKS PERFECT IN ANY MODERN KITCHEN. I LIKE THE FACT THAT IT HAS A LARGE GLASS JAR. BLENDS SMOOTHIES PERFECTLY AND PURCHASED AT A VERY GOOD PRICE.One big piece of junk ...used a couple of times with fruits and it died on me ...again ... one big piece of junk just like some otherproducts that i have purchased from this brand inthe past .I will stay away from any products that are madeby this manufacturer all my lifewhat a shame ...all the stuff i buy made by B&Dend s in the trash in no time ..shame on themand i will learn my lesson once and for all this time .A little on the loud side, but gets the job done. I wish it didnt sound like I was murdering animals when I tried to blend something with ice though..
