This is an exact replacement for the blades in a Vitamix 5300 low profile container. They work just like the originals. I ordered the plastic wrench to remove the old blades and install this one, and it was still way less expensive than buying a replacement container.The threads seem to have a torque limit that prevents you from overtightening and breaking the plastic base of the container. If you tighten too much, the threads will slip and rotate the entire assembly. Tighten just enough so that it doesn't rotate. I think this is by design. No problems and no leaks so far, so it's definitely tight enough.
