I have had my Oster blender for many years and it still works as the first day I bought it. However, lately the jar lid that came with it got very stiff and brittle after years of use and it finally gave out. This replacement part comes inside a box that looks exactly like the photo so I got exactly what I thought I was getting. It fits perfectly in my original 6 cup Oster glass jar that came with the blender so it is a perfect replacement. It is pricey at 1/3 of the total cost of the whole blender for just a lid but if this new part lasts as long as the previous one it will be well worth it.
